A partner with KraftMaid® Cabinetry in designing this year’s Kitchen of the Year at Rockefeller Center in NYC, kitchen artist Mick De Giulio gave us a personal tour and a great wrap-up to Day 2 of the exhibition.

“One thing I tried to do within the space is work with the concept of non-symmetry, ” De Giulio says, pointing to the kitchen island. “I have two doors that are framed with glass and the inside is a very dark wood — a cherry wood with Slate finish by Kraftmaid®. At the left side, one of the a cabinets [has] open shelves rather than just three doors. It’s the idea of unexpected design that makes things interesting within a space.”
